A CIA Test

The CIA narrowed a list of applicants for the job of assassin to three finalists - two men and one woman.
In the final test, the trio was told they must obey instructions to the letter. The first man was given a gun, told his wife was sitting on a chair in the next room and ordered to kill her. He immediately refused and was sent packing.
The second man actually entered the room where his wife was sitting, but came out in tears, saying he couldn't do it.
The woman was given the same instructions and told to kill her husband. She went into the room, shots were heard, then screaming, crashing and banging on the walls.
After a few quiet minutes, the door opened and the woman emerged, wiping sweat from her brow. She said "This gun is loaded with blanks. I had to beat him to death with the chair."
